Position Overview: We are seeking an Assurance Associate who will assist in planning and preparing audit workpapers, performing financial analysis, identifying client issues, and offering value-added recommendations. This role offers strong opportunities for technical growth, hands-on client interaction, and advancement within the assurance practice. Essential Functions: ? Prepare for audits, including trial balance and lead sheet setup, creating schedules, analyzing spreadsheets, and verifying accuracy of client accounting records. ? Maintain financial updates and gain an understanding of client business operations. ? Meet budget and realization goals and support staff in meeting theirs. ? Identify client issues and clarify service responsibilities during engagements. ? Participate in staff and intern recruiting activities. ? Monitor professional developments and research technical accounting issues. ? Identify and communicate problem areas and propose solutions to managers and partners. ? Offer value-added suggestions during audits and reviews. ? Meet assigned chargeable hour goals. ? Participate in internal training as appropriate. ? Work toward completing the CPA exam if not already achieved. Position Requirements: ? Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ? CPA license strongly preferred. ? Two to five years of public accounting experience preferred. ? Strong knowledge of basic accounting procedures and GAAP. ? Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multitask. ? Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
