Job Description:
Join the dedicated team at CarMax as an ASE Automotive
Technician and work with the nation’s top-rated used vehicle
retailer. This role focuses on car repair and maintenance in
alignment with ASE certification standards, ensuring each vehicle
meets our high-quality standards. As part of our team, you'll have
the opportunity to work on a diverse range of pre-owned vehicles
and use your skills to elevate the car-buying experience at over
200 locations nationwide. This second-shift position offers a
unique balance, allowing for personal time in the morning and a
dynamic work environment in the afternoon and evening. Perform work
as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy,
following dealership and factory standards. Diagnose the cause of
vehicle malfunctions and recommend the appropriate repairs. Conduct
routine vehicle maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire
rotations, transmission flushing, etc. Keep up-to-date with all ASE
certifications and adhere to protocols. Communicate effectively
with service advisors and team members regarding vehicle statuses.
Ensure the workspace is clean and organized to maintain a safe
working environment. Proficiency with mechanical tools and
diagnostic equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong
attention to detail. Ability to communicate complex technical
issues effectively. Experience with a wide range of vehicle makes
and models. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance 401k Must hold
current ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification.
