Job Description Job Description Job Title: Pulp Operator Job Description We are seeking dedicated Pulp Operators for eight openings in Vonore, TN, with the opportunity to transition from temporary to permanent employment. This role offers both day and night shifts, operating on a 2,2,3 schedule, with hours from 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am. Responsibilities Feed bales of grass into the conveyor for loading into the pulp tanks. Operate a telehandler for efficient material handling. Monitor and adjust water chemistry, chemicals, pressure, and temperature to ensure optimal process performance. Transfer finished product from the pulp tank to the spreader and forming machine. Use checklists to ensure compliance with safety protocols, recipes, processes, and formulations. Work effectively within a team, adhering closely to safety procedures and maintaining a strong focus on quality and attention to detail. Essential Skills Proficiency in forklift operating and machine safety. Experience with electrical troubleshooting and pressure checks. Knowledge of boiler systems, valves, and maintenance procedures. Ability to follow detailed, step-by-step instructions for processes and safety protocols. Additional Skills & Qualifications Entry-level experience in maintenance or interest in pursuing a maintenance role. Completion of schooling from TCAT or a local trade school focused on maintenance, electrical, or boilers. Familiarity with thermoforming machines and tank operations. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vonore, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
