About The Position We are seeking a Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Missouri. This role begins on Aug 4, 2025, and entails day shifts from Monday to Friday, focusing on post-operative care in a dynamic surgical environment. The candidate will manage various critical tasks including the removal of pacing wires, chest tubes, and other surgical drains, alongside consultations and patient discharges. Job Details - Location: Missouri - Start Date: Aug 4, 2025 - LOA: 120 days - Provider Type Needed: Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner - Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-4 or 9-5 Responsibilities and Duties - Remove pacing wires, chest tubes, and drains - Coordinate care for post-operative cardiac surgery patients - Manage new and follow-up consultations - Handle occasional admissions and patient discharges - Ensure comfort with post-operative care, specifically with cardiac surgeries and pacemaker cases - Patient load: 10-18 per day Additional Information - Required Certification: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC) - Must hold a valid Nurse Practitioner license in Missouri - EMR Used: Epic Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
