Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 8 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Neuro Stepdown) – Georgia Start Date: February 2, 2026 Location: Atlanta, Georgia Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM start time; weekend shifts required; block scheduling not available Highlights: - Neuro stepdown specialty unit with dedicated patient population - NIHSS stroke assessment and neurological monitoring required - EPIC electronic medical record system in use - Minimum 2 years of neuro stepdown or strong medical/surgical stepdown experience required - Competitive candidate interviews conducted by nursing management - Immediate need with early February start date Requirements: - Active RN license with Nursys verification - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification current and valid - Minimum 2 years of neuro stepdown experience; strong medical/surgical stepdown nurses with NIHSS and stepdown exposure may be considered - EPIC EMR experience strongly preferred - Complete work history with no gaps exceeding 60 days - Current skills checklist and professional references Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work with a specialized neurological patient population in a dynamic stepdown environment.
