Job Description:
TriStar Centennial Medical Center, located in Nashville,
Tennessee, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Operating Room Nurse
to join our Joint OR team. Our facility prides itself on delivering
exceptional healthcare across a spectrum of services, including
advanced joint replacement surgeries. As an Operating Room Nurse in
our Joint OR, you will play a critical role in managing the nursing
care of patients undergoing orthopedic surgeries. This position
offers a dynamic work environment where teamwork and cutting-edge
health practices enhance patient outcomes and improve recovery
times. Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing
joint replacement and other orthopedic surgeries. Assess, plan,
implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the
interdisciplinary team. Maintain a sterile environment in the
operating room. Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in
patients' conditions. Handle preoperative and postoperative
documentation and patient education. Administer medications as
prescribed and monitor for reactions or side effects. Assist
surgical teams during operations through the preparation and
organization of equipment and instrumentation. Strong clinical
skills in a surgical environment Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills Proficiency in managing operation room
technology and instruments Ability to work effectively in a
high-stress, fast-paced environment Strong organizational and
multi-tasking skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
in the state of Tennessee or a compact state. Certified Operating
Room Nurse (CNOR) certification preferred.
