Registered Nurse, Intermediate Care / Telemetry – Georgia Start
Date: March 9, 2026 Location: Stockbridge, Georgia Compensation:
Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 36 hours per
week, 12-hour shifts; every other weekend required; floating within
scope of practice as needed Highlights: Overflow Intermediate Care
Unit with 32-bed capacity specializing in cardiac, pulmonary, and
medical-surgical overflow patients Patient ratio of 1:5-6 with a
diverse case mix including arrhythmia management, cardioversion,
post-cardiac cath care, CHF, chest pain, renal, pulmonary
conditions, and surgical overflow Epic charting system with Pyxis
medication management and SBAR communication protocols Work with an
interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, phlebotomy,
radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and
transportation 13-week travel assignment with comprehensive
orientation and structured onboarding process Rare call
requirements with 2-hour response time; travelers typically exempt
from managing Precedex drips Requirements: Active Georgia or
Compact state RN license required at time of application Minimum 1
year of recent experience in intermediate care, telemetry, or
progressive care; first-time travelers not accepted Travel nursing
experience strongly required Current BLS and ACLS certifications
required Demonstrated competency with cardiac drips including
amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, nitroglycerin,
milrinone, heparin, argatroban, aggrastat, bumex, and lasix
Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring, arrhythmia interpretation
and management, TR band application, and post-PCI patient care
Experience with IV starts and maintenance, port access and
management, blood product administration, central and peripheral
line care, feeding tube management, and BiPAP/CPAP management Epic
charting experience strongly preferred Two supervisory references
from manager level or above required at time of submission Full
compliance documentation due the Tuesday prior to start date Why
