Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Stockbridge, Georgia,

Description: Candidates with 1 year of experience are welcome. 1st
timers are accepted. This unit cares for stable medical-surgical
patients. Common diagnoses include laparoscopic cholecystectomy,
shortness of breath, sepsis, exploratory laparotomy,
gastrointestinal bleeding, congestive heart failure, chronic
obstructive pulmonary disease, severe sepsis, hypertensive urgency,
syncope, electrolyte imbalance, chest pain, abdominal pain, and
alcohol withdrawal. The nurse ratio is 1:6 for a total of 12 beds.
The unit uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems. Scrub colors required
are navy blue or white. Staff must be available to work every other
weekend unless specified otherwise. Floating within the facility
and scope of practice may be required. There are no call
requirements for this position. Candidates are expected to work
major holidays as outlined in the holiday policy. Candidates must
comply fully to start on time; non-compliance may result in a
2-week delay based on the orientation schedule. References from
supervisory roles are highly preferred. Candidates should be
flexible and open to other locations and shifts if needed.
Preferred experience includes telemetry and interpretation of
dysrhythmias. Interdisciplinary support is available from various
teams including IV, physical therapy, respiratory services, and
social services. Daily patient visits average around 20. The unit
has 12 rooms and 12 beds to accommodate patients. Special equipment
and special procedures will be communicated as necessary during
