Job Description Job Description Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1 years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed to provide dedicated one-on-one support for a high school student with complex medical needs. This full-time contract position will span the academic school year from August 5th, 2026 to May 26th, 2027, located in Cartersville, GA. Responsibilities include continuous monitoring and care for a female student who is wheelchair-bound, has experienced seizures, and uses a Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS). There is also a potential need for G-Tube care. The position requires close collaboration with school staff to ensure the students health and safety throughout the school day. Key qualifications and experience: Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Georgia Previous experience in school nursing, particularly with high school students, preferred Comfort and competence with seizure monitoring and VNS management Experience or willingness to manage and care for G-Tubes Ability to deliver compassionate, one-on-one support in a school environment Location: Cartersville, GA (Cass High School) Position details: Contract term: Full academic school year (August 5th, 2026 May 26th, 2027) Hours: Full-time, approximately 37.5 hours per week Caseload: 1:1 nursing support for one student This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on a student's daily school experience by providing specialized nursing care.
