Job Description:
Clean Harbors, a leader in North America for providing
environmentally responsible, energy, and industrial services, is
seeking a dedicated CDL Driver II to join our transportation team.
This role is pivotal in helping us achieve our mission of
safeguarding the environment by skillfully operating our fleet of
vehicles designated for hazardous waste disposal and emergency
response services. As a CDL Driver II, you will assume
responsibility for managing the safe transport of hazardous and
non-hazardous waste across various sites, ensuring compliance with
all regulations and company standards. Safely transport hazardous
and non-hazardous waste while adhering to all federal, state, and
local regulations and Company policies. Operate high-end vehicles
like tanker trucks, roll-offs, and vacuum trucks. Perform routine
inspection and maintenance on vehicles, ensuring all equipment is
in good working order. Prepare and maintain transport
documentation, including manifests and work order completion.
Communicate effectively with both customers and the internal team
to ensure smooth operation. Respond promptly to emergency spill
situations, demonstrating critical thinking and adherence to safety
protocols. Ability to operate various transport vehicles (tankers,
roll-offs, vacuum trucks) confidently and safely. Strong
organizational and documentation skills. Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving
abilities under pressure. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A
with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement. Clean driving record and able
to pass a comprehensive background check. DOT medical card. OSHA
Hazardous Materials training preferred.
