Operate a tractor-trailer or flatbed truck over long distances while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws. Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of your vehicle and immediately report any issues or discrepancies. Coordinate with dispatchers to track deliveries and manage schedules. Maintain accurate logbooks of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. Ensure the freight load is properly secured before and during transit. Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure the highest level of service. Adapt to weather conditions and emergencies by making informed and safety-centric decisions. Strong driving record with proficiency in driving large vehicles, Excellent navigational and route management skills, Ability to perform minor repairs on the road, Outstanding organizational and time management skills, Strong physical endurance for handling cargo and extended travel periods.
