This role in summary Whirlpool is looking for a qualified candidate for the role of Tooling Supervisor at our Cleveland Manufacturing site, in Cleveland TN. This role is an onsite role The Tooling Supervisor will work with various levels of associates, leadership and other internal/external customers in a team-based, high-speed manufacturing environment while following standardized work adhering to safe work practices in a continuous improvement organization. Your responsibilities will include --- Lead, mentor, and guide 40 plus Tool and Die hourly associates with the assistance of 3 group leaders Implement and drive World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives --- Create CAD drawings used for Die making, Die revisions and reverse engineering for Die repair Use blueprints and CAD drafting software to create or revise Die/Tooling Designs --- Create accurate tooling designs and revisions using software modeling --- Reverse engineer details as needed using Faro and GeoMagic --- Die making, Die revisions and Die repair --- Apply trigonometry to tooling design --- Project management --- Initiate problem solving and root cause analysis for tooling issues --- Lift up to 40 pounds unassisted --- Work standing 10 or more hours per day with frequent variation between standing and sitting --- Work is performed in a controlled-air, manufacturing environment; Safety glasses, hearing protection, arm guards and other approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Minimum requirements Bachelor's Degree 3+ years AutoCAD, 3D software modeling experience (Solid Works, MasterCam, Etc.) 5+ years tooling experience Completion of a tooling technical training/apprenticeship program Preferred skills and experiences --- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (WCM Methodology) --- Advanced math skills --- MS Excel, MS Word, PRO-E and Google tools --- Decision making and judgment skills, ability to work without direct leadership RSRWH Connect with us and learn more about Whirlpool Corporation.
