Job Description:
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for managing any and all powder
coating activities including maximizing OEE (Efficiency,
Performance, Quality), reducing failure occurrences, Performing
Operator Time Studies, and all other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Creates value for the customer.
2. Learns and grows with the company.
3. Adapts to change in the work environment in order to satisfy
customer demand.
4. Sandblasts, preps, and powder coats daily.
5. Inspects for defects on 100% of the product.
6. Trains new Employees
7. Performs maintenance tasks on all equipment (compressors, air
dryers, pot blasters, powder coating equipment)
8. Assists in the creation of new process flows to eliminate waste
in the process.
9. Follows and supports all OSHA safety regulations for the
plant.
10. Creates standard work instructs as training aides
SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Reports to and is accountable to the Shift Lead
2. Has freedom of contact throughout the company including customer
relations.
3. Externally, interfaces with equipment manufactures and vendors
concerning engineering data, performance specifications, on new
installations and existing equipment.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
1. High school Diploma
2. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
3. Supervisory skills required.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED:
--- Mobility in plant.
--- Clear Communication abilities
--- Mobility: Stand (stationary) - 100%, stand/walk - 100%, walking
- 100%, sitting - 15%.
--- Strength and Agility: Lifting - occ. - 80#, carrying - occ. 150
ft., push/pull - occ. - 80#, climbing - freq., balancing - occ.,
bending - cc., stooping - occ., crouching - occ., kneeling - occ.,
crawling - occ., running - occ., twisting - occ., turning -
occ.
--- Dexterity: Grasping (firm/strong), finger dexterity/handling,
reaching.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
1. Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
and regulations.
2. Follow Company safety rules.
3. Report the absence of or defect in any protective equipment or
clothing to the Supervisor or Manager immediately.
4. Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that
is required to be used or worn:
--- Safety shoes
--- Safety glasses
--- Hearing protection
--- Hard Hat
5. Report to the Safety Coordinator, Group Lead or Supervisor any
contravention of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and
Regulations or Company policy.
6. Must follow all Lock out Tag out (LOTO) guidelines for
designated machines.
7. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
1. Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
and regulations.
