OverviewHAA - Helicopter Air Ambulance - Medical Aircraft:

contributions.ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions include:
- Operate Air Methods' aircraft safely and legally.
- Complete pre-flight checks verifying aircraft airworthiness by
signing off the Daily Flight Log; perform walk-arounds before and
after flights.
- Hold final authority on aircraft operations and safety of
passengers, cargo, and equipment.
- Familiarize with all aircraft and medical systems, ensuring the
medical flight team is comfortable with the medical interior and
systems.
- Complete required documentation accurately.
- Conduct detailed flight planning with minimal notice to
exacting standards.
- Participate in meetings, activities, projects, committees, and
community outreach.Safety emphasis: Prioritize safety through
meticulous pre-flight checks, thorough walk-arounds, and proper
documentation.QualificationsTo succeed, candidates must
satisfactorily perform all essential functions. Air Methods

- Experience flying in category for a commercial operator or
military within the past 24 months.
- Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, EMS,
hospitals, and the public, fostering a professional
environment.Operation and Safety Requirements: Must weigh less than
250 pounds and be under 70 years old.Visual Flight Rules (VFR)
Program - Required Flight Times:
- 2000 total flight hours, with at least 1500 in category.
- 1000 hours PIC in category.
- 500 hours rotor wing turbine time.
- 200 hours cross-country flight time, including 50 hours at
night.
- 100 hours unaided night PIC or 50 hours with 100 hours
NVG.
- 50 hours actual or hood instrument time in flight and category
(simulator not counted).Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Commercial & Instrument Rating (category and aircraft
class).
- ATP rating in category.
- First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate.Education &
Experience:
- Associate's degree or equivalent plus 2-5 years related
experience, or equivalent combination.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.Internal application window:
