the options and apply today! COUNSELORS and ADVOCATES
(NON-RESIDENTIAL)Counselors andAdvocates provide information and
referral, agency linkage, advocacy, homevisits and follow-up
services as defined by the individualized goals of
programparticipants. This includes a range of services from child
development,family support, child abuse prevention, victim support
and more. Examples of Counseling and Advocate positions are Healthy
FamiliesSupport Worker and PRN Victim Advocate. Starting salary is
$16.22/hour and up (fulltime) depending on position, education, and
relevant experience. Caseload and frequency of contact vary based
on client needsand acuity, program focus, and population served.
These factors as well astravel requirements and on-call expectation
determine salary.PEER SUPPORTSPECIALISTSPeerSupport Specialists are
individuals that are primary mental health consumerswith
appropriate life experience (mental health or substance use) and a
desireto be a role model for recovery. Some experience leading
groups is desired aswell as experience in customer service.
Applicants should possess the ability to relate to individuals
andfamilies of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ages,
educational levels,and economic circumstances with respect and
dignity. Examples of PeerSupport Specialists are CSU Peer Support
Worker and Hope United Peer SupportSpecialist (Overdose
Response).Starting salary is $16.90/hour (fulltime); depending on
position, education, and relevantexperience. Caseload and frequency
ofcontact vary based on client needs and acuity, program focus, and
populationserved. These factors as well as travel requirements and
on-call expectationdetermine salary. Increased salary if individual
is a valid Certified PeerRecovery
Specialist.RESIDENTIALCOUNSELORSResidential Counselors
areidentified as residential because they are based in a facility
that utilizesround-the-clock staff (CSU, Behavioral Health Urgent
Care, AdolescentResidential Treatment, Adult A&D, etc.). Work
schedulesare often shift-based and require evenings, overnights,
weekends, andholidays. Shiftdifferential supplemental pay is
available for 2nd and 3rdshift in most residential facilities.
Someprograms transport clients to and from the facility as
required, and an F-endorsementis required. ResidentialCounselors
serve in a direct care role that involves
supervising/monitoringclients in an inpatient or residential
setting, performing intakes,inventorying belongings, performing
safety checks, facilitatingpsychoeducational groups, and providing
a supportive environment for theclients.. Examples of residential
facilities atMcNabb Center are Gateway and Katie Miller (both
adolescent residentialtreatment facilities), ILS (long-term care
for individuals with severe andpersistent mental illness),
Supportive Housing, Crisis Stabilization Units(Knox, Hamblen,
Children's Hospital), and CenterPointe Residential Detox
andTreatment.Starting salary for a HS/Equivalent level clinician in
thesesettings ranges from $16.56 (full time). Bachelor's level
clinicians start at $18.59 / hour. Facility,client population, and
acuity as well as position, education and relevantexperience
