Job Description:
Volt is immediately hiring for a Sales Representative in the
Knoxville, TN area.

As a Sales Rep, you will:
Aggressively drive new business growth through targeted prospecting
within an expansive market, capitalizing on significant
market-share upside.
Strategically manage a portfolio of mid-sized and large industrial
accounts, focusing on expanding wallet share by identifying and
securing opportunities for increased penetration within existing
customer relationships.
Cultivate and expand an existing account base, specifically growing
sales of our value-added manufactured products, including
industrial lubricants, chemical solutions, metal working and
surface finishing solutions.
Execute a problem-solving, value-added selling process centered on
acquiring and retaining industrial customers and cultivating
consistent, repeat consumable business.
Partner with industrial clients to reduce their total operating
costs, improve production quality, and help them achieve critical
Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) goals and objectives.
Serve as a critical liaison between customers and internal
functional teams, effectively communicating complex customer needs
and requirements to ensure coordinated efforts and accelerate
organic sales growth.
Collaborate closely with the Research & Development (R&D)
technical team to identify and develop new selling opportunities
and enhance existing account management strategies.
This is a full time, Direct Hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related
technical/business field is preferred.
Minimum of 2+ years of sales experience in industrial or chemical
sectors is highly preferred.
Demonstrated success in industrial sales, including a proven track
record of prospecting, closing new projects, and delivering
compelling technical and value-added presentations to industrial
clients.
Proven ability to build, nurture, and manage long-term customer
relationships within complex industrial environments.
High achievement orientation; driven to perform and grow market
share within specialized industrial segments.
Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and problem-resolution
skills, adept at understanding and addressing technical challenges
in metalworking, lubricants, and surface finishing
applications.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability
to articulate complex technical information clearly and
concisely.
Adept at quickly understanding new product lines, specifically in
the areas of industrial chemicals, lubricants, and surface
finishing solutions, and effectively utilizing this knowledge to
fulfill customer needs and drive solutions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Professionally developed sales and territory management skills,
with a strategic approach to optimizing sales cycles and account
penetration.
Ability to perform technical/mechanical on-site testing related to
product application and performance in industrial settings.
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year + commission.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
