in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology
(ARRT), and 1 year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not
meet these qualifications will not be considered. A position is
available for a Cardiovascular Technologist I specializing in Cath
Lab procedures in the Atlanta, GA area. This contract opportunity
offers the chance to develop skills assisting physicians during
diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiovascular procedures. The
role focuses primarily on adult and geriatric patients and provides
comprehensive on-the-job training for those new to the Cath Lab and
electrophysiology environment. Key Responsibilities: Train to
assist physicians during cardiovascular cath and EP procedures in
monitoring, scrubbing, or circulating roles. Operate specialized
equipment safely and maintain sterile technique throughout
procedures. Prepare and educate patients for procedures and provide
support before, during, and after interventions. Maintain accurate
departmental records, ensuring compliance with patient safety
protocols and regulatory standards. Participate in cath lab on-call
rotations once oriented. Collaborate effectively with
cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and interdisciplinary teams.
Handle communications with patients and family members
professionally using standardized scripting techniques. Maintain
and restock supplies; ensure all licenses and certifications remain
current. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Associate degree in
Health Science or completion of an accredited Radiologic Science
program preferred; Bachelors degree highly desirable.
Certifications required upon hire: ACLS and BLS. Basic
understanding of cardiovascular cath or electrophysiology
procedures, including radiation protection and patient positioning.
Prior experience in a medical setting preferred; Cath Lab
experience of two years is a plus. Strong critical thinking skills,
ability to work well under pressure, and excellent communication
abilities. Shift Details: Typical schedule: Four 10-hour day
shifts, 7 am 5 pm. Cath Lab on-call responsibilities approximately
15 shifts per 4 weeks. Weekend call 1 to 2 times monthly (Friday
